Interesting stuff. There are patterns all over the neck.

There is a "method" taught online called the Fretboard Conveyor Belt which is basically a horizontal pattern used to move across the neck. Your method involves staying in one position. It works great. But to avoid confusing beginners I'd point out that the Wide Narrow pattern is vertical pattern, not a left to right movement. Worth making that extra clear as the number of patterns and positions is a lot to take in.

Awesome. I hope you keep on doing posts like this. Guitar life is full of these I wish I learned this sooner moments. And I like this conveyor belt method much better than that other guy's.
